The idea is to work with the consequences of violence, avoiding spectacularizing. Therefore, we think it is important that there are no scenes of violence. It has to be seen for its consequences, for the delusions it causes, for the pain in relationships.

Since the film takes place in three times, today, in 1969, and with some flashbacks to 1967, the proposal is to work on different aesthetics, from each era.

In the current part, the film proposes to work with more structured images, defined colors, which highlight the fortress and its visuals, as well as the university. In 1969, the colors will be desaturated and the camera more nervous, following the pains and fears of the characters. In the flashbacks, the images are broken, a bit like memory, reflections of a confused time.

The aesthetic follows a non-Manichean approach to a violent situation, giving time for its characters to be presented in their intimacies and pain. For this, the elongated time in some scenes and the use of close-ups are fundamental, so that one can go deeper into the emotions.

It is also important to point out that the visual narrative should not be limited to telling a chronological story, but rather reflect the contradictions of the characters. The memory, the nightmares, the chases, are an integral part of the film, worked on with the characters.
